This rarely-worn conservative suit set by Ann Taylor is a black and white tweed with a nicely tailored fitted jacket and knee-length skirt that is beautifully stylish and well-made. The material is 80% acrylic and 20% polyester and it is fully lined. The suit can be worn with a black or white turtleneck and black (or white) tights and black boots for a very comfortable winter choice or worn solo with black heels during the warmer months. The jacket has 3/4 length sleeves. This suit is very versatile and would be perfect for the office, courtroom, or a dreaded funeral. There are no stains in the underarm portion of the inside jacket and no pulls or rips or tears anywhere in the set.
The skirt includes a back hidden zipper with a hook/eye closure and measures a little over 15 inches across at the waist, approximately 20 inches across at the hip area, and is 24 inches long with a 7 inch kick pleat in back.
The fitted jacket has three black beaded buttons that are actually secure snaps. It has a gorgeous black thin ruffle trim and is adorned with a very stylish and attractive collar. The jacket has three quarter sleeves that measure 13 inches from the under-arm point to the sleeve trim. The under-arm to under-arm measurement is approximately 18.5 inches across; the waist measures 16 inches across; and the length from the top back collar to the jacket hemline is approximately 22.5 inches.
